Judge Not...

I’ve always said you never know what people go through just to make it through one day. So often people judge people based on what they see and/or hear in small moments of that person’s life.

Just because you see a little or even a lot of what a person goes through does that give you the right to judge? Absolutely not... the Bible says judge not, lest ye be judged. Why judge anyway? What does judging others really do for you? Do you get paid for it? Is it a sign of success when you judge others? Does it make you more confident and increase your self-esteem? What makes you the authoritative figure on judging others? Did you major in it in college? Who died and told you that you are now the Emperor of Judgement?

See people spend so much time judging others because it allows them to shift the focus from their own issues. When you get wrapped up in others business you fail to sufficiently handle your own. The key thing here is that what you think you know and base your judgement on is a small figment of those people lives. Some people go through hell every single day and still show up in the world with a smile on their face. You never know what a person has to do or has done just to wake up and get out of a bed each day, if they even have a bed. You really don’t know and anything they tell you is only what they want you to know. Any portion that you see is exactly what they want you to see.

We all have skeletons and we all have highs and lows, but your overflow or lack thereof does not give you the right to judge the events and happenings in my life.
